A passionate believer in the relevance of the classical arts, Malavika Sarukkai has spent her life dedicated to this vision. She believes that art experience enriches both artist and viewer. With a view to generate a wider appreciation for Bharata Natyam, she has extensively performed, spoken, lectured and taken workshops in India and abroad. The venues include prestigious National Museums , premium cultural institutions like the UCLA, The Smithsonian Institution and The Asia Society that support her unique ability to bridge tradition and change, past and present, classical and contemporary.
