Krishna Rtu Krida - a celebration of the Leelas of Krishna in the six seasons, each season also reflecting the interaction of the human and the environment. Krishna Rtu Krida is a hymn of renewal "leelas".
Fireflies - a multi-media performance piece, an exploration of sringara, the man-woman relationship, through English text, miniature painting and dance. In Fireflies, viewers access into emotions that are universal, gender free and contemporary.

Srinkhala - An ongoing exploration of our links with the environment, Srinkhala looks at spaces, outer and inner. It speaks of the possibility of living in harmony with these spaces and the consequences of committing aggression.

Khajuraho - A tribute to its millennium, a homage to the temples which resonate with the sacred and celebrate the secular. Through abstract movement, the concept of the temple as model of the cosmos is explored. Through songs (abhinaya), the sculptures on the outer walls speak of universal emotions- the ecstasy of being with the beloved, the sadness of leave-taking on the eve of war.

Uthkanta - An exploration of the emotion of longing. In Uthkanta lesser known voices speak, across time and space, of expectation and yearning. Calling out sometimes in hope, more often in anguish. In sequences of abstract dance, creative and visually stunning choreography convey the dancer's longing to search and explore space. Making space generative. Opening it up to the birth of movement

Kasi Yatra, the journey of a courtesan of Benaras - Kasi Yatra is a storyof the celebration of life at its many levels. The courtesan, a woman of taste and refinement, comes to life from the pages of Kuttanimatham, an 8th cent poem. Kasi yatra opens out her life as she moves from the spaces of the courtesan - gendered and male-dominated - into the spaces of the pilgrim - gender-free, neutral and equalizing. As she joins the flow of the river of pilgrims. Set in Benaras, the story teems with vitality and colour. Recreating on stage through visual poetry the worlds of courtesan and pilgrim. Drawing the audience into participation. For a journeying together.

Srotasvini - Multiple streams - Srotasvini is an exploration of the multiple streams that flow in and become part of the river of Bharata Natyam. With its source in mythology, this river courses through the landscapes of life experience – all the time flowing towards the sacred. Through this production, Malavika pays homage to the continuing living tradition of Bharata Natyam with its inherent capacity for change. Malavika also pays tribute to the generations of artists, who with their inputs, have sustained the flow of this river through space and time.

Vipinam – The Grove - This production brings together the languages of classical dance, poetry, music and digitally reworked images to take one on a journey with trees. Trees, groves, ‘tree-ness’ is contemplated in many ways by dancer Malavika Sarukkai and Poet Priya Sarukkai Chabria, as painted, sung, danced, photographed, digitized……

Tejas – The Expanding Canvas - This is a production in the language of dance by Malavika Sarukkai and of paintings by Sayed Haider Raza. “ She dances against images of Raza’s canvases that stand like stained glass windows on the cathedral of the stage, meditating on thought and silences. The dance is abstract, intense and sacred, invoking epiphanies of creation and growth”….
